How to Lock a Conference Call with Vast Conference
To lock a Vast Conference call and prevent additional attendees, click the lock icon in the meeting interface or use the 2* phone command. This security feature restricts entry, ensuring only authorized participants remain. In the mobile app, tap the LOCK button during the meeting.
When to lock your call
Locking is most useful once all your expected participants have joined and you're ready to get started. It's a simple way to keep the call focused and prevent interruptions from late or unauthorized dial-ins.
How to unlock
If someone needs to join after the call has been locked, you can unlock at any time using the same lock icon in the web interface, the 2* command, or the LOCK button in the mobile app. Once they've joined, re-lock the meeting to keep it secure.
A few things to keep in mind
Locking the call does not affect anyone already on the line. Existing participants stay connected without interruption. Anyone who tries to dial in while the call is locked will be unable to join until the host unlocks it.
For high-stakes or sensitive meetings, consider pairing Lock Meeting with the Waiting Room feature, which lets you screen participants before they enter the live call.
